Hisense has unveiled a “child” model of its monstrous 116UX TV, the 100-inch 100UX. This mannequin has a mini-LED backlight and really excessive brightness.
The Hisense 100UX is a 4K TV with the corporate’s proprietary RGB (red-green-blue) backlight. Hisense says it achieves 95% of the BT.2020 coloration house and as much as 8,000 nits peak brightness — similar to the 116UX, which works on sale at present.
The TV has HDMI 2.1 connectivity and Wi-Fi 6E. It seemingly contains the Google TV working system and the 165Hz refresh price of the bigger dimension.
I obtained a hands-on with the 116-inch model and located it hit the brightness ranges the corporate claimed — an industry-leading and eyeball-bleeding 8,000 nits — plus glorious coloration saturation.
TCL and Hisense are competing for the “actually massive TV” house, together with the 115-inch TCL CNET noticed final yr. Will probably be attention-grabbing to see if there are comparable high-end strikes from opponents reminiscent of Samsung or LG.
The Hisense 100UX ($19,999) and the Hisense 116UX TV ($29,999) can be found now.
