Medical expertise titan Medtronic has confirmed that its methods have been hacked after the infamous ShinyHunters group claimed to have stolen tens of millions of data.

“The networks that help our company IT methods, our merchandise and our manufacturing and distribution operations are separate. Hospital buyer networks stay separate from Medtronic IT networks and are secured and managed by prospects’ IT groups,” it added.

The corporate has but to verify the theft of knowledge, however says it’s “working to determine any private data which will have been accessed”.

The ShinyHunters cybercrime group listed Medtronic on its leak web site on April 17, claiming to have compromised greater than 9 million data containing private data, together with terabytes of company data. The hackers gave the corporate till April 21 to pay a ransom, threatening to leak the stolen information.
